Power Developments International gets $10m contract for Hidd

18 January 2005 - Dubai-based Power Developments International FZCO has secured an $10m contract to build the second phase of a gas turbine power station at Hidd Industrial Area in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The contract, awarded by Bahrain Electricity Supply and Transmission WLL, follows Power Developments International's successful completion of the first phase. The second phase of this turnkey contract includes an additional state of the art Frame 5 heavy-duty gas turbine. The power station will provide electricity to a Ferro-Alloys plant, which is currently under construction.

Power Developments International FZCO a joint venture between RWE Innogy plc, the UK integrated Energy Company and MJB International, a worldwide gas turbine services provider based in the United Arab Emirates. It offers complete power plant installations on a full turnkey project, supply, install and commission basis.
