MHI will deliver four RSGs to the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), located six kilometres southeast of San Clemente. Two RSGs will be put into service at unit 2 and the other two at unit 3. SONGS units 2 and 3 have been operating with an electrical output of 1070 MW and 1080 MW respectively and commenced operation in the early 1980's.
29 December 2004 - Siemens Power Generation (PG) is to supply npower renewables, a subsidiary of RWE npower plc., with 40 wind turbines, in the first considerable order for its new wind power division.
