Elliott and Wood Group agree to form US service alliance

22 September 2004 - The Elliott Company ("Elliott") and Wood Group Heavy Industrial Turbines Division (WGHIT), part of the Gas Turbine Services division of John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to form an alliance to deliver enhanced services for rotating equipment operators in the United States.

According to Wood Group, the goal of the alliance will be to combine the established network of experienced rotating equipment repair facilities of both Elliott and WGHIT, and WGHIT's field service presence throughout the US, to provide outstanding service excellence to the companies' combined customer base.

Richard Wiegand, Vice President and Executive Operations Officer for Elliott, and Nicholas Blaskoski, President of WGHIT Americas, said jointly: "This alliance aims to provide excellence in service support for all of our customers and further establishes Elliott and Wood Group Heavy Industrial Turbines as creative service innovators focused on their customer's needs in the refinery, industrial and power markets in the US."
