Innogy buys Ingenco technical services business

05/12/2003

12 May 2003 - Innogy plc, the UK utility subsidiary of Germany's RWE, announced Friday the acquisition of the Technical Services business of Ingenco, whose core business is supplying engineering services to the power and related industries.

Ingenco was formed in June 2000 by a number of former employees from Scottish Power's Technical Division and employees 20 people based in Glasgow.

Innogy will use the acquisition to build its engineering services activities and already has bases in Wiltshire and Yorkshire. "This acquisition enhances the range of engineering services already offered by Innogy," said pat Montanaro, managing director of InnogyOne, the Operations and Engineering business of Innogy. "We were very impressed with the quality of site services delivered by Ingenco and believe their skills complement the existing support and specialist services we provide to other power plant owners and operators around the world."
