National Academy of Engineering to host energy issues symposium

October 8, 2001 — Price and availability of electricity in the western united states, tensions over access to domestic energy resources, and high gasoline prices have propelled energy policy into the national consciousness.

Current and emerging issues in electric power will be the featured topic of an all-day symposium hosted by the National Academy of Engineering next week in Washington, D.C.
